It implements the Java Language Specification ( JLS) and the Java Virtual Machine Specification ( JVMS) and provides the Standard Edition ( SE) of the Java Application Programming Interface ( API). The Java Development Kit ( JDK) is a distribution of Java Technology by Oracle Corporation.
